About Eluru Library & our mission
Eluru Library serves the community of Eluru and West Godavari District with free access to books, e-books, magazines, and digital resources. We offer quiet reading and study spaces, computer and Wi‑Fi access, and programs for all ages. Our building is designed to welcome students, teachers, researchers, and the general public with a comfortable, well-lit environment.
Vision: To be the region's leading public library — promoting reading, lifelong learning, and community engagement. We aim to make knowledge accessible to everyone, regardless of age or background, and to support education, research, and leisure reading across Eluru and the surrounding areas.
Mission: To provide free library services including books, e-resources, reading hours, and community programs. We welcome students preparing for exams, teachers looking for teaching materials, researchers using our reference section, and families visiting our children's corner. Our staff are trained to help you find books, use computers, and access digital databases.
Eligibility for a free library card typically includes those who live, work, or study in the service area. You can register in person with a valid ID proof. Visit us during working hours or contact us for membership details, book reservations, and program schedules.
